Godolphin is the world’s largest thoroughbred operation, comprising

breeding and racing interests spanning 6 countries, across 4

different continents with HH Sheikh Mohammed as the driving force.

Alex is currently working for champion trainer Charlie Appleby and based between Moulton Paddocks stable, Newmarket and Marmoon Racing Stable, Dubai. These high performing racing yards require a very integrated and smooth-running farriery operation that demands high quality work, excellent interprofessional communication and extensive attention to detail in all aspects of thoroughbred hoof care.

Alex continues to develop a vast amount of experience and skill development working alongside such experienced and highly motivated farriers, vets, and stable staff. An appreciation for great teamwork, dedication and strive for excellence is continuously gained at Godolphin and it is a great personal pleasure for Alex to be involved in the shoeing of multiple group and grade 1 winning horses both nationally and internationally.

Alex has worked for Charlie Appleby and Godolphin since 2021 which has seen Charlie Appleby crowned Champion Trainer in Europe both in 2021 and 2022.
